NEW CLIENT IN THE FRAME FOR AWA MANCHESTER

AWA Manchester has been appointed by AGFAPHOTO, a subsidiary of electronics giant Sagem, to support the launch of a new range of personal printers and digital photo frames.

The agency was awarded the contract after a two-way pitch.

A creative theme devised by AWA Manchester will now be used across all consumer promotional literature developed for the new range, at point of sale and in support materials used by the company’s UK sales teams.

The digital photo frame market is currently worth around £1.2m a year in the UK. It is expected to grow substantially in 2008 with digital photo frames becoming one of the ‘must have’ Christmas gifts later this year.

AGFAPHOTO is looking to double its market share during this growth period.

Sales manager Susan Owen-Jones commented:

“Key to our success this year will be increased distribution as well as sales. We asked AWA Manchester to come up with a theme that will not only stand out in a consumer environment but also convince retailers to stock our product rather than our competitors.”

AWA Manchester Client Services Director Wayne Silver added:

“AGFAPHOTO is already a well known and respected brand in the photography market but it is less well known for digital printing.

“We’re delighted to have been chosen to help the company enter this new market and we’re looking forward to developing our ideas further throughout the year.”
