MAKING A STAND FOR GREENER WASTE

Water, electric and gas supplier United Utilities have recently turned their attention to the area of waste management. It is becoming an increasingly important subject, with local councils incurring huge fines for failing to meet government landfill targets. To increase their presence in this market, United Utilities exhibited at the recent Futuresource exhibiton at Excel In London. It was vital they make a professional impression, as key decision makers from local authorities at home and abroad would be attending.

We developed a stand concept in conjunction with an ad campaign, which stated "We're letting our hard-earned reputation go to waste". Featuring eye-catching floor graphics to represent landfill waste and give-aways of mini recycling bins filed with minty treats, the stand really stood out from the crowd. As a result, United Utilities were able to make contact and appointments with key figures from local authorities, who previously were unaware of United Utilities' offering in this arena.
