16th May 2008 AWA Manchester has devised the packaging for a new brand of environmentally friendly loft insulation being sold in B&Q stores across the UK.

Earth Blanket is a carbon neutral, high performance loft insulation manufactured by Knauf Insulation. The product is made from recycled glass wrapped in recycled film. The exterior packaging designed by AWA Manchester is made from recycled plastic.

The product features heavily in an energy saving promotion that was launched by B&Q in October.

AWA Manchester has a track record in providing packaging design for Knauf Insulation. The agency developed the branding and helped launch the company’s Space Blanket DIY loft insulation in 2002, since when it has provided advertising and design services to support a number of the firm’s consumer and trade products.
